Art and pop culture will collide for our 6th-8th grade students. Students will get to learn about how famous artworks influence pop culture. “The Scream” and memes, Beyonce’s “Lemonade” and Frida Kahlo, the Matrix and M.C Esher, Nightmare before Christmas and German Expressionism, to name a few connections that we will draw inspiration from while we create in drawing, painting, mixed media, and sculpture.
