spring class schedule

We offer after school classes for kindergarten through high school and speciality classes such as Fashion: Fiber and Trending and Little Artist and Me.  In addition we offer, home school, private classes, and adult classes with varying hours through the week. 

Kindergarten - 2nd Grade

Session V begins the week of 4/11.  This is our final school year session. After school classes resumes in September.

Our youngest students will be getting inspiration from children's books throughout the year.  They will have fun drawing, painting, and working in three dimensions. 

Sketchbooks can be purchased at The Studio, all other materials included.

Students will think about art and creativity to develop a positive outlook towards their art, themselves, and each other. By using multi media, we will think about small ways to bring positivity and light to cultivate creativity and dream deeper.

 

Sketchbooks can be purchased at The Studio, all other materials included.

Session V begins the week of 4/11.  This is our final school year session. After school classes resumes in September.

Each session, students will look to a master artist to develop technically based skills through painting, drawing, and working three dimensionally. Students will transition from closely replicated works to their own creative interpretations. 

Sketchbooks can be purchased at The Studio, all other materials included.

High School: 9th Grade - 12th Grade

6 week sessions

Session V begins the week of 4/11.  This is our final school year session. After school classes resumes in September.

Students will consider their own artist aesthetic and interests to create an independent series in the media of their choosing. Through individualized guidance and class critiques in a collaborative environment, students will see personal and artistic growth.

In addition to their own series, students will be the first class to begin adding Journals into our Creative Collection, a collection of student sketchbooks.

Most materials provided (large scale canvas and papers not included). At this time, we do not use traditional oil based paints at The Studio. 

COST - $105.00

Private Class

4 week session, 1 hour classes

Each session will be based on your individual interests and requests.  We will work with you one-on-one to strengthen your artistic skill set through the use of drawing, painting, and working three dimensionally.  

 

You tell us what you are looking for and we will arrange the rest.

Fashion Design: Fiber Manipulation

6th - 12th grade

THURSDAY (4 spots)

4:00 pm - 5:15pm

6 week sessions

Session V begins the week of 4/11.  This is our final school year session. After school classes resumes in September.

For this fashion design class, students will explore different techniques to alter fabrics through fiber manipulation based on a color story.  As we continue to move through the year, fiber will be the thread that connects the different techniques we will build upon.

 

In session I, students will learn how different cotton rich fabrics are effected by bleach and color dye through a series of dying techniques that will cumulate in a variety of fiber and fashion based projects. 

 

This class will give you the tools you need to master fabric on your own independent fashion journey.

COST  -  $105.00

Adult Class: Introduction to Painting

4 week sessions.  6 week session optional.

Session V begins the week of 4/11.  This is our final school year session. After school classes resumes in September.

In our Introduction to Painting class, students will gain experience in watercolor, gouache, and acrylic painting.  By learning basic drawing techniques, students will develop imaginative and creative compositions.

Minimum of 4 students, maximum of 8.

COST - $85.00 (4 weeks), $120.00 (6 weeks)

Little Artist and Me

Thursday 4/21

1 hour classes, 1 time per month

No "Little Artist and Me" classes in May.

In our "Little Artist and Me" class, we will have fun exploring various art mediums through step-by-step process painting for you and your "little artist" to engage in together.  Don't be afrad to get messy, have fun, and explore the world of art together!

Ages 3+

COST - $30.00 for 1 adult and 1 child. Additional child costs $10.00.

*Maximum of 2 child per adult.

 

workshops

Throughout the year we will be offering seasonal workshops with art projects that will allow us to explore, create, and get imaginative about the new season.  

 

The workshops are geared for students ages 5+ and will feature 2 - 3 new projects centered around the season.  The in-person workshops will be between 1 to 2 hours in length depending on the projects.   Cost between $20.00 to $40.00.

When signing up, please inquire about the date and time you wish to sign up for.

Our next workshop will be in Spring 2022.  Sign ups and further information to follow end of September.
